Troubleshooting your Internet connection

These steps should fix most cable internet connection issues; however it may not resolve all problems.


Step 1

Unplug the devices marked Modem and Router. Only unplug the power/electrical cable.

Step 2

Plug in the device marked Modem. Wait 3 minutes before proceeding.

Step 3

Plug in the device marked Router. Wait 3 minutes before proceeding.

Step 4

Plug in the device marked ATA (phone box). Wait 3 minutes before making a test phone call.


If the computer’s internet is not working, or the phone is silent, or says Device Not Registered after these steps, please contact Voice2Net at 613-713-1555 with a cell phone or neighbour’s phone or visit the store at 148 Prescott St. in Kemptville.
